Finance & Accounting Resume Examples
Finance resumes are screened on three things at once: the reporting standard you work under, the system you work in, and the size of what you were trusted with. All three are usually missing, replaced by a list of duties that every accountant shares.
State the standard by name, state the ERP by name, and attach a figure to the scope — revenue closed, accounts reconciled, entities consolidated, the length of the close. The professions below list the exact terms each finance role is filtered on.

Keywords that recur across this sector
These terms appear in the postings for more than one profession below — the count is how many of the 3 they cover. Use the ones you genuinely have, worded the way the job posting words them.
Certifications named by more than one role
Named in this sector's postings. Verify the current requirement with the issuing body before you build a plan on it — an advert is not a regulator.
What applying in this sector involves
In Saudi Arabia finance postings assume familiarity with VAT and Zakat filing and with the reporting framework the entity uses, and professional membership is often listed as a requirement rather than a preference. Where a Saudi licence or membership is involved — SOCPA for accountants, for instance — the requirement is set by that body and changes; confirm it with them and list only what you actually hold.
Questions people ask
Which is worth more on a finance resume, the standard or the software?
Both, and they cost one line each. The standard tells a reviewer whether your experience transfers; the software tells them how long onboarding takes. Leaving either out makes the other harder to evaluate.
How do I quantify accounting work that has no revenue attached?
Use the volumes you own: number of accounts reconciled, invoices processed per month, entities consolidated, days to close, value of a recovery or a saving you can evidence.
Should I list every ERP module I have used?
Name the system and the modules you worked in, not every screen you have opened. Depth in one module is more employable than a list, and it survives a technical question.
